Sometimes life can be a little chaotic; the to-do lists are overflowing, and so are our thoughts. Taking the time for self-care is essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and releasing some of that overflow in our minds. That’s why I love to journal. It’s such a therapeutic and relaxing way to get all of life’s stresses spilled out onto paper, leaving a little less weight on my mind and taking control of my emotions, but also opening up a door for self-discovery.
So today I’ve devised 7 journal prompts for self-discovery to help motivate you to get that journal out and maybe get to understand yourself just a little bit more.
7 Journal Prompts for Self-Discovery
#1 What does happiness mean/look like to you?
#2 What are you most grateful for in your life?
#3 What do you feel you are missing or have too much of in your life?
#4 If you could write a letter to your younger self, what would it say?
#5 What do you hope for your life to look like in 5 years from now?
#6 If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be? Why?
#7 What does your ideal day look like?
BONUS: #8 What could you do to take better care of yourself?
And there you have it, 7 questions to dive into and begin to really dig deep.
Self-discovery is a constant battle in some of our lives, but when we sit down and truly begin to think about what it is we want out of our lives, the answers may begin to appear, the ones that were there the whole time. I hope these questions open up doors and turn on lights that will help guide you to your own path towards your own self-discovery.
