What I’ve Learned From Gratitude Journaling
Gratitude journaling has taught me a lot including:
- There are so many beautiful things that life has to offer, you just have to open your eyes more.
- Slow down, and appreciate the moment you’re in.
- Tune into and embrace your 5 senses more: like enjoying that morning cup of coffee. Really smell it, taste it, feel the warmth of the cup.
- If you look around you at any time, I bet you can find something to be grateful for.
- It’s okay to feel your emotions, but don’t sweat the small stuff.
- There is a lot of love and support around me.
- Gratitude helps you gain a better perspective on life and a better grasp on your emotions.
As you can see, there are many benefits to starting a gratitude journal and overall just practicing gratitude. Every night I take a moment before bed to thank my body for getting me through the day and follow that with 3 things that I am grateful for. It’s such a simple yet highly effective practice, you’ll be sure to see the benefits the more you do it!
Remember friends, there is so much to be grateful for, just look around you! 😊
